Mary is an American Board Optometric Certified Optician and our Office Manager.
I am originally from Indiana and moved to Michigan in 1982. I have 2 years of education from Delta College and 2 years of pre-med courses. I have also completed a course on Business Management thru Williams Consulting Group in Minneapolis, MN. Having 23 years of experience, with 15 of those years in management and working as an optician; I bring to the office a wide range of knowledge from insurance billing of major medical and vision claims, to frame and lens designs, plus contacts. I started my career as a receptionist and worked as a technician to an ophthalmologist. Although, I always seemed to enjoy management and the frame selections the most. Working with the patients, and helping them feel good in their eyeglasses, makes my work seem like fun. I have been married for 7 years. We have 5 children and 10 grandchildren. My husband and I enjoy Nascar, camping, and boating up at Houghton and Higgins Lake area.
